Psychiatric Emergency Transfer System

The Psychiatric Emergency Transfer System provides a safer method of moving violent patients from one area to another.

The system comprises the black Dyneema ‘Jacket’ and two blue straps with hook and loop fasteners. Six exterior handles provide manual lifting and lashing points for additional restraint to the ambulance or hospital stretcher. Dyneema is fifteen times stronger than steel and considered to be the strongest material in the world.

The patient is wrapped within the Dyneema sheet and secured with the two blue straps. Once moved to a safe, secure environment, the blue straps are loosened or unfastened while leaving the patient wrapped inside the sheet. Staff can leave the area safely, allowing the patient to self-extract from the confines of the transfer system.
