Ferno F.R.E.D.
Ferno FRED (Ferno Rescue Emergency Device) is a low-cost rescue device that has been put through some serious testing and used in a broad range of training scenarios. He’s even starred as a stunt double in a few movies.
FRED has the following features:
- Heavy-duty rip-stop UV resistant PVC material

Lifetec Bariatric Dummy
The Lifetec Bariatric Dummy provides rescue teams with a realistic alternative for bariatric retrieval and enable realistic training to take place.
The Bariatric dummy is based around a 100 kg general purpose dummy with a further five layers over the top. These comprise a mixture of weighted layers and foam cushioning that enables the weight to slide from side to side. Supplied complete with a carrying sheet to assist in carrying and positioning the dummy.

Lifetec Fire House Flame Retardant Dummy
The Fire House flame retardant dummy is designed for high temperature snatch rescue scenarios with real flames and the chance of a flash-over.
They are weighted to produce an anatomically correct weight distribution and the feel of an unconscious patient. The higher specification, flame retardant dummies demonstrate a good balance between temperature and abrasion resistance.
Similar to the General Duty dummy, the Fire House dummy incorporates glass fibre for the outer carcass and is stitched with PTFE-cated glass thread. The protective overalls are made using Kermel flame-retardant fabric which provides excellent heat and abrasion resistance. Additionally, each dummy is fitted with heat resistant fire-fighter’s safety boots.
The dummies will easily withstand temperatures of 200C – 250C and only starts to fail at temperatures in excess of 400C. Flash-over temps greater than 1000C are withstood by the dummy for short periods.

Lifetec Multi-Trauma Rescue Training Dummy
The Lifetec Multi-Trauma Rescue Training Manikin is a general purpose rugged rescue manikin that can simulate an impaled torso, suspected neck injury and amputated arm or leg and allows the fitting of an extrication collar.
The hole on the left of the torso allows a paling or a spike that is firmly held in place. The right arm and right leg are fully detachable to simulate an amputation, or by partially releasing the locking straps the limb can be weakly attached and will fall off. The manikin is supplied complete with sturdy gum boots that protect the legs if the manikin is dragged along the ground.
The Multi-Trauma Rescue Training Manikin is tough enough to allow a vehicle or heavy girder to be laid on it without damage.

Lifetec Patient Handling Range
The Lifetec Patient Handling dummy is a ‘soft’ verson of the General Duty Dummy and is suitable for the Hospital and Care sector. Ideal for early mobilisation, emergency evacuation, working with lifting/transfer/evacuation, equipment and general moving and handling exercises to avoid the back injuries associated with high risk movements.
Constructed in polyester which is tough, safe to handle and very easy to clean. Anatomically correct weight distiribution gives the ‘feel’ of a real patient.

Lifetec Water Rescue Dummy
The Lifetec Water Rescue Dummy perfectly simulates an unconscious casualty in water.
They will float at an angle of approximately 45 degrees with just the head and shoulders visible. The overalls supplied have integral pockets that enable the user to add buoyancy or weight to the dummy. Additional use of a heavy-duty nylon mesh and closed cell foam allows water to flood out of the dummy as it is being recovered.
The Lifetec Water Rescue Dummies can now be supplied in two models: ‘man overboard’ or ‘search and rescue’. The man overboard dummy is supplied with bright orange overalls and reflective tape on the headband. The search and rescue model is supplied with black overalls with no reflective tape.

Lifetec Working at Height Range
The Lifetec Working at Height manekin is an extremely tough manikin for work and rescue training at height. Similar to the General Duty Range, this manikin has greater trunk rigidity and reduced ‘slumping’ when in a harness.
Anatomically correct weight distribution gives the ‘feel’ of an unconscious person. Webbing loop allows easy hauling into position. Can be dropped from 2 or 3 storeys with no damage. Waterproof and quick clean/drying makes suitable for training in wet or dry conditions.
Includes coveralls and boots.
