SAM IO Needles colors and depth indicators adhere to industry standards for ease of adoption, and the devices are designed as a stylet and catheter assembly secured by a snap-fit connection.The 15-gauge SAM IO Needles are available in 15mm, 25mm and 45mm lengths to accommodate multiple application sites and a broad range of patient demographics.
The colours and depth indicators adhere to industry standards for ease of adoption and the stylet and catheter are connected through a simple snap-fit design. Optimised cutting flutes at needle tips have been optimised to penetrate cortical bone efficiently. Laser markings on needles confirms proper needle length and provides depth control. Each sterile-packed SAM IO Needle includes:
- An Extension Tube to aid in fluid introduction
- A NeedleVISE® for sharps containment.

SAM IO Stabiliser
The SAM IO Stabiliser features a cylinder design which helps to shield the IO needle from dislodgement. The cylinder does not come into contact with the needle itself, thus potentially offering additional protection.
