    SAM IO Stabiliser

The SAM IO Stabiliser features a cylinder design which helps to shield the IO needle from dislodgement. The cylinder does not come into contact with the needle itself, thus potentially offering additional protection.

Available in single units or packs of five.

    SAM Junctional Tourniquet (SJT)

The SAM Junctional Tourniquet (SJT) is designed to control bleeding where traditional tourniquets would not be effective such as with IED/Blast injuries and high level amputations. It can also be used as a pelvic splint.

The SJT is particularly effective when used to control haemorrhage in the inguinal or axilla areas where time is of the essence. This is due to its compact design and ease of use which enables the SJT to be applied in four steps, within an average time of 25 seconds.

The SAM Junctional Tourniquet incorporates the best of both mechanical and pneumatic approaches to haemorrhage control.

    Features

    • A strong mechanical buckle component which controls baseline pressure and eliminates slack. Unlike the Pelvic Sling, the AUTOSTOP buckle on the SJT does not lock to allow adjustments as required

    • A pneumatic Target Compression Device (TCD) which inflates quickly to minimise patient blood loss. The TCD Extender (the T-Bar shaped component) is useful for its ability to provide deper compression

    Benefits

    • Designed to prevent under and over-tightening, ensuring the clinically correct force is applied
    • The Target Compression Device has a built-in pressure release valve to prevent overinflation at altitude
    • A second TCD can be added to the SAM Junctional Tourniquet to occlude bilateral blood flow if required
    • Stabilises pelvic fractures
    • Easy to use and quick to deploy
    • Radiolucent

    Product Variations

    • SAM-SJT102:  SAM Junctional Tourniquet with Extender
    • SAM-SJT101: SAM Juncitional Tourniquet without Extender or Auxilliary Strap

    SAM XT Extremity Tourniquet

The SAM XT Extremity Tourniquet is engineered for rapid application. SAM XT’s innovative design encourages efficient windlass turns compared to traditional tourniquets, enabling easier, faster training and intuitive use.

Slack is the main cause of failed tourniquet application. SAM XT’s TRUFORCE Buckle technology auto-locks at a predetermined amount of circumferential force that’s just right, thus eliminating nearly all tourniquet slack. The Windlass C-Hooks and velcro Time Band ensure the Windlass Rod remains secured.

    • Truflex Plate distributes force at targeted pressure for maximum strength and flexibility, able to bend on smaller extremeties without breaking
    • TruForce Buckle auto-lock technology activates locking prongs to eliminate any slack
    • Metal Windlass Rod is machined aluminium for weightless strength and reliability
    • Windlass C-Hooks secure the windlass rod using an intuitive angular design that makes windlass locking easier and more efficient
    • Time Band is made from weather-resistat velcro which functions as efficiently wet or dry. The outer material is optimised for night vision
    • Circumferential range of 14 cm to 89 cm
    • The SAM XT exceeds MIL-STD 810G for durability and is a recommended product by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC)
